ਲਿਪੀ ਅੰਤਰਨ:
Tranliteration:
ਜਾਂ ਅਗਰ ਹਸਤ ਨਿਸਾਰ-ਏ-ਕ਼ਦਮ-ਏ-ਜਾਨਾਂ ਕੁਨ।
ਦਿਲ ਬ-ਦਿਲਦਾਰ ਬਦਿਹ ਜ਼ਾਂ ਕਿ: ਤੋ ਦਿਲਦਾਰ ਸ਼ਵੀ।।
Jaa’n agar hast nisâr-e-kadam-e-jânaa’n kun,
dil ba-dildâr ba-deh zaa’n ke: tu dildâr shavi.
ਅਰਥ:
Meaning:
ਜੇ ਕਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਨ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਰ ਦੇ,
ਆਪਣਾ ਦਿਲ ਦਿਲਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਦਿਲਦਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਂ ।
If you are endowed with life, then sacrifice it at the portal of the benefactor,
And, by relinquishing your heart, become a benefactor yourself
