ਸਦ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਸਰ ਬਰ ਕਫ ਦਰ ਰਾਹਿ ਊ।
ਏਸਤਾਦੇਹ ਤੱਕੀਆ ਬਰ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਇਸ਼ਕ।।
Sad hazâraa’n sar bar kaf dar râh-e-oo,
estâdeh takiya bar deewar-e-ishq.
ਅਰਥ:
Meaning:
ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਤਲੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਨ ਰਖੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ,
ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਨਾਲ ਢਾਸਣਾਂ ਲਾਈ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ।
Thousands, ready to sacrifice their lives, are standing and
reclining themselves against the wall of love, to his abode.
